Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive Concept – the future B-Class

Besides the electric version of the SLS AMG Coupe, Mercedes-Benz brought to Paris a concept that seems to be the future electric B-Class. For now, it is in the concept stage, although its appearance suggests otherwise.

The model is called B-Class Electric Drive and is equipped with an electric motor of 100 HP. Electric drive can sprint from 0-100 km / h in less than 10 seconds and can have zero carbon emissions until it reaches 100 km / h. With fully charged batteries, the concept can go 200 km. As for the charging stage, it can charge from a standard socket and can provide enough energy for 100 km in less than an hour.

Mercedes-Benz also announced today an electric version of the SLS AMG Coupe. It will be available for purchase in 2013 and has a price of 416,500 euros. The electric version of the B-Class is expected in 2014, when BMW should launch its own electric models from Project i.

The aspect of this concept is part of the Electric Drive’s philosophy of  and will be on all the electric models from Mercedes-Benz. We hope that this glossy blue paint reaches mass production.
